PRIDE
EUROPE

Microsoft’s employee group GLEAM (Gay Lesbian Employees at Microsoft) wanted a friendly illustrated theme to bring together their PRIDE events across Europe. Supported by Windows 10, this was the first time Microsoft organised a connected series of PRIDE celebrations across all of their European locations. The visual style helped give each event a shared identity while still allowing every city to have its own personality, celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community.

The main message for the campaign Come as you are, do what you love focused on celebrating community and individuality. This inspired a series of illustrated characters drawn from well-known figures in LGBTQ+ culture, such as drag queens, twinks and leather daddies. These characters appeared across a range of promotional items for the PRIDE parades and events.

One particular piece that stands out was a travelling photo booth that moved between the different Microsoft offices in the UK. Staff could step in, take photos, and share messages of support for PRIDE. The booth could instantly post photos to social media, helping capture and share genuine moments of celebration, encouragement, and community throughout PRIDE month.
